About The Position

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.

Requirements

• Previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
• More than 2 years Operating Room or Procedural area experience may be considered.
• Cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Cardiovascular Technician; CCPT (invasive emphasis), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCPT (invasive emphasis), preferred.
• EP Electrophysiology Pacing experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
• Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and the training of new staff.
• Assist in all aspects of invasive and cardiac procedures.
• ROTATE ON CALL SCHEDULE.
• Recognizes and responds to priorities, accepts changes and new ideas.
• Has insight into problems and the ability to develop workable alternatives.
• Patient-Centered: Respectful of and responds to patients preferences, values and needs.
