About The Position

Baylor Scott and White Health is seeking an outstanding academic BC/BE Cardiovascular Surgeon to join the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, within the Department of Surgery in Temple, TX. The Central Texas region is the fastest growing area of the country and has attracted several noteworthy and diverse industries (Meta, Apple and Samsung to name a few) in recent years. The Cardiovascular Surgery program, under new leadership, is experiencing steady growth that is anticipated to continue for the foreseeable future. Among its many highlights is the robust and growing Advanced Surgical Heart Failure Program. Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and expected to contribute to the growth and development of disease-based programs in partnership with the Divisions of Cardiology and Vascular Surgery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring
  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine
  • Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
  • Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in aortic and/or advanced heart failure surgery
  • 5 years of experience preferred
