About The Position

Performs cardiac catheterization examinations on patients of all age populations as a registered nurse, rotating through all cardiac team positions, contributing to the efficient operation of the department, promoting Hamilton Medical Center's philosophy, to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and assess data reflective of the patients current status in relation to their age specific needs. This is to include diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as device implants.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing school with at least an associate degree in nursing.
  • Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse. BLS CPR required ACLS Required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing, two (2) years in a critical care area. ACLS is required.
  • Ability to perform in critical care situations.
  • Ability to use physiological monitoring and related equipment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
  • Ability to obtain and interpret information terms of the patients needs that are age appropriate.
  • Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for age group of patient served.
