Schedule: Full Time 40 Hours a week About Us - OR - CV The CVOR consists of two large surgical suites and a state-of-the-art hybrid suite, where we perform a full range of cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and endovascular procedures. This position includes minimal call, offering a great opportunity to develop specialized surgical skills in a supportive environment. What You’ll Do Under the supervision of the registered professional nurse, participates in the intraoperative phase of patient care. Freeman in Joplin, Missouri, is a 460-bed, three-hospital system providing comprehensive healthcare services to an area that includes more than 450,000 from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Freeman Health System includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital and Ozark Center – the area’s largest provider of behavioral health services – as well as two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics and a variety of specialty services.

Requirements

  • Acute Coronary Syndrome CEU hours - 10 per year annually by transcript due date.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
  • Certified, eligible for certification and/or has greater than two years of clinical practice as a scrub tech in a hospital setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, graduate of the internal Freeman Health System Surgical Technologist program, or has greater than two years of clinical practice as a Scrub Tech in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the registered professional nurse, participates in the intraoperative phase of patient care.
