About The Position

At Allina Health, our Cardiovascular Procedural Technologists are essential partners in delivering exceptional cardiac and vascular care. Key Position Details: $7,500 starting bonus for eligible external talent .75 FTE (60 hours per two-week pay period) 10-hour shifts - typical schedule 7:30 am- 5:00 pm On call every third weekend rotation

Requirements

  • Must meet at least one of the following: ◦ Completion of a JRCERT-accredited program of Radiologic Technology or the ARRT-approved equivalent and ARRT Certification or ◦ Graduate of an education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, which uses the standards and criteria established by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology or ◦ Candidate is required to meet the following educational criteria to be eligible to sit for the RCIS or RCES exam through Cardiovascular Credentialing International:A graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing)
  • Must meet ONE of the requirements below: ◦ ARRT certification and registration if ARRT at time of hire or ◦ Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ◦ Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or ◦ Allina in-house BLS training within 60 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a health science-related field
  • 1+ years of cardiovascular or radiology technologist experience

Responsibilities

  • Effectively operates laboratory equipment
  • Performs scrub role activities
  • Assists physicians in monitoring/circulator role
  • Maintains safe environment for patient and other staff, using electrical equipment and instruments correctly.
  • Ensures safe environment for patients and staff
  • Works with the team to identify ways to improve the work practices and efficiencies.
  • Informs manager/supervisor of staff and physician concerns, quality/safety or other department issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
