About The Position

Assists the physician with the performance of invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, neuro and electrophysiology procedures, by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, and interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician. Position requires the operation of equipment that produces ionizing radiation.

Requirements

• Associates degree in radiologic technology, allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program.
• Experience in radiology/diagnostic imaging is preferred.
• Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice.
• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (RT(R)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician during invasive and diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor and pass instruments and catheters.

• Maintain a sterile field.
• Interpret and evaluate diagnostic data.
