About The Position

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is a highly trained and specialized healthcare professional who plays a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Working at a professional level, this role is central to the functioning of cardiac catheterization laboratories and other invasive cardiovascular environments. The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures and operates within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and procedural efficiency.

Requirements

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a first assistant to physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and electrophysiology studies.
• Operating and monitoring advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment
• Ensuring accurate data collection
• Maintaining a sterile environment throughout all procedures.
• Responsible for patient preparation, real-time monitoring, procedural documentation, and post-procedure care coordination.
• Administering medication under the direction of a qualified physician
• Ensuring compliance with all hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and accreditation standards
• Participating in on-call rotation and responds rapidly to emergency cases, including STEMI activations
• Contributing to ongoing quality assurance and process improvement initiatives in the cath lab.
