About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) to deliver on-demand case coverage, in-servicing, and procedural support across the Austin region. This PRN/1099 role is ideal for cardiovascular technologists with strong Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology backgrounds who want flexible scheduling and independence while supporting advanced interventions.

Requirements

• Active RCIS credential.
• 3+ years of Cath Lab experience (Hybrid OR/IR accepted).
• Hands-on experience with interventional devices (Impella, AngioJet, Inari, IVUS, pacemakers/ICDs, etc.).
• Excellent communication and clinical teaching skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in medical device education or consulting.
• Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular and peripheral interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide Cath Lab case support in scrub and monitor roles for complex cardiovascular and peripheral procedures.
• Educate and in-service staff on device usage, troubleshooting, and procedural best practices.
• Assist physicians during advanced interventions such as structural heart, thrombectomy, TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, and device implants.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving cardiovascular devices and techniques.
• Travel regionally within the Austin area to support cases (mileage reimbursed).

Benefits
