About The Position

As a Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist Level II (CIT II) at Stanford Health Care, you will be part of one of the busiest structural heart departments in the country, working on complex cases from around the world. The Cath Lab conducts specialized procedures, participates in clinical and research trials, and engages in live broadcasts with facilities worldwide. The department averages about 30-40 cases a day, and you will work on cases in neuro IR, cardiology, structural heart, and endovascular surgery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree required.
• Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of cath angio work related experience.
• Intermediate understanding of principles of radiation in relation to imaging techniques.
• Intermediate understanding of procedure indications, disease processes involved, and treatment options.
• Demonstrate intermediate communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ancillary and cath angio equipment such as Ekos, Angio Jet, FFR, Volcano, Rotablator, IABP, Impella, U/S, IVUS, Cathworks.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in the first two services and train to be proficient in the remaining two services.
• Provide scrub assistance during procedures.
• Aid during intervention cases, including prepping balloon, stent deployment, and valve crimping.
• Set modality parameters on fixed and mobile angiography equipment.
• Enter patient demographics data in imaging equipment.
• Archive images in Cardiac PACS and Radiology PACS.
• Operate and troubleshoot ancillary equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning of procedural area and equipment.
• Stock assigned room with appropriate supplies needed for procedures.
• Verify and complete all documentation in EPIC and Inventory systems.
