About The Position

The position is for a full-time role in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Atrium Health Cabarrus, requiring 40 hours per week with a schedule of four 10-hour days from Monday to Friday, including rotating call. The role is eligible for a sign-on bonus based on eligibility. The pay range for this position is between $37.50 and $56.25 per hour. The essential functions include demonstrating evidence-based practice and performing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Responsibilities include assisting with treatments, therapies, and procedures under the direction of a physician, administering medication, documenting clinical information, and conveying relevant information to physicians and teammates. The role also involves calculating, interpreting, and analyzing data, as well as assisting in the development of policies and procedures reflective of current practices. Participation in committee and governance activities is highly recommended.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of high school and an accredited program of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology.
  • Certification from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or related field required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Technology program, such as Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or comparable.
  • Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist.

Nice To Haves

  • Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate evidence-based practice and perform care for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
  • Assist with treatments, therapies, and procedures under the direction of the physician.
  • Administer medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate.
  • Document a current clinical picture and record designated information in the patient record.
  • Convey relevant information to physicians and teammates.
  • Calculate, interpret, and analyze data.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care reflective of current practice/literature.
  • Participate in committee and governance activities.
