Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgeon Job Quick Facts • Specialty: Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Longview, TX • Service Setting: Inpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental • Coverage Period: Mar 20-28, 2026 • Coverage Type: Call Only • Call Coverage: ED and Cath Lab call • Shifts needed to be filled: - Mar 20 (7a) - 28 (7a) • Call Schedule: 7a-7a; 24-hr Call • Call Type: Beeper • Call Response Time: 30mins • Admissions: Yes • Support Staff: RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, Office Staff • Procedures: - Vascular Surgery; Aneurysm repairs, Thoracic, Abdominal, Arterial bypass, Peripheral, Vascular access devices, AV shunt - General CV/thoracic surgery; Open, Endoscopic, Coronary artery bypass surgery; On pump, Off pump, - Congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.) - Valvular repair; Valvular replacement - Aneurysm repair; Cardiac, Aorto-thoracic - Lung resection (including VATs) - Chest wall or pleural procedures - Esophagus and diaphragm surgeries - Permanent pacemaker placement, AICD (Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator), Left ventricular assist devices - TAVR, CABG, - Vent Management, Bronchoscopy, Eval. And management of acute vol/BP issues - Insertion of Central line, Insertion of Arterial line, Insertion of PA catheter, Insertion of IABP - Vascular Skills; General Vascular surgery: Open, Endovascular, - aorto-abdominal - Bypass procedures - aorto-femoral/iliac: Fem-pop - Endarterectomy: Carotid, Renal - Subclavian steal procedure • Trauma Level: III • EMR: Athena/MedHost • Temporary Privileges available: Yes • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
