Our expert clinicians utilize continuing medical education to further research and enhance collaboration, leading to better patient outcomes. 13-hour rotating shift, coverage support of the 11-bed cardiothoracic surgery ICU (Open Heart Unit). Work in conjunction with the attending cardiothoracic surgeon, and non-surgical providers, for medical care of cardiothoracic surgical patients. Duties include: managing post cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, ECMO, LVAD, bedside procedures, and assisting in inpatient practice needs. Perform initial evaluation, history, and physical examination of all assigned patients. Placement of invasive monitoring lines including central venous catheters, dialysis lines, and arterial access. Participate in ongoing education, quality, and research projects. Contribute to service-related databases as indicated.   • A Valid Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
  • Graduate from accredited educational program for Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience as a clinician in an ICU/Acute Care Department preferred
