About The Position

Ocala Health is a seeking an experienced cardiac physician assistant to join an established cardiothoracic surgery practice. Practice specializes in the latest minimally invasive cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgical techniques (mitral valve repair, thoracic aortic aneurysm repair, TAVR)

Requirements

• Prior cardiac experience required
• Proficient in vein harvesting (EVH and open) required
• Join two cardiothoracic surgeons and 2 Advanced Practice Providers
• 80% of time spent in hospital / 20% in clinic
• Must be NCCPA board certified

Responsibilities

• Hospital work focused on inpatient rounding, consults, discharges, some ICU & surgery
• First assist in procedures
• Share call with Advanced Practice Providers
