Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery NP/PA Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Tacoma, WA Service Setting: Inpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Shift Schedule: Mon -Fri; 7a -3p Call Schedule: - Weekdays: Nights (3 -4 days/week) - Weekends: 24 -hrs Call Ratio: 1:4 Patient Volume: 20 patients per day - Hearts: 6 -8 per week - Thoracic: 9 -12 per week Physician in Practice: 3 Cardiac, 2 Thoracic Surgeons Support Staff: RNs, 3 PAs, 1 NP Procedures/Duties: - Pre and Post -op Patient Eval/Mgmt - OR First Assist - Coronary Artery Bypass, Valve Surgery - Robotic -assisted Thoracic Surgery - Vein Harvets, Artery Harvest - Emergent Procedures (Chest Tubes, A -Lines, etc) - Rounds, Discharges, Clinic Wound Checks EMR: Epic Other Info: 90% of Thoracic cases are robotics Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements
- Active WA License
- BC
- DEA
- ACLs, BLS
- Clean Record
- 3 yrs of CV/CT Surgery experience
Responsibilities
