About The Position
HCA Florida Heart and Lung, in partnership with HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, is seeking a talented cardiothoracic surgeon to join their established practice and expanding service line in Kissimmee, Florida. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a growing network of experienced cardiothoracic surgeons with locations spanning from Gainesville to Pensacola. The practice currently performs a variety of procedures including coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacements, and a broad range of thoracic surgeries. The Florida Heart and Lung program encompasses several advanced cardiothoracic surgical initiatives, such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), minimally invasive cardiac surgery, robotic thoracic surgery, aortic surgery, and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). The ideal candidate will possess experience and comfort with aortic disease, valve repair and replacement, including both open and endovascular aortic procedures. Familiarity with TAVR and advanced technologies aimed at reducing the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures is essential. The candidate should also demonstrate a collaborative spirit, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team that includes cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, registered nurses, and critical care personnel, all dedicated to achieving the highest quality outcomes. While a minimum of five years of experience is preferred, candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply, as the practice values a positive track record of team building and collaboration.
