About The Position

AdventHealth Daytona Beach is seeking an experienced, board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon with strong proficiency in minimally invasive and traditional open-heart and thoracic procedures. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an established and respected team of four surgeons serving a growing, high-acuity patient population in the Daytona Beach region. What You’ll Do: Perform a full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic procedures Emphasize minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery, helping to expand the program’s advanced surgical offerings Provide thoracic surgical care, including lung and esophageal procedures, as needed Collaborate with a cohesive team of three experienced CT surgeons, cardiologists, and advanced practitioners Participate in program growth, quality initiatives, and community education What This Role Means to the Community: The arrival of a robotically trained, minimally invasive cardiac surgeon will elevate access to cutting-edge surgical options and reduce recovery times for complex heart patients in our region. This role is key to expanding local access to advanced, high-quality heart care, keeping patients close to home while receiving nationally recognized treatment. Requirements

  • Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Advanced experience in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery
  • Proficient in traditional cardiac procedures (e.g., CABG, valves, ascending aorta)
  • Experience or comfort with thoracic surgery
  • Florida medical license (or eligibility)

Responsibilities
