Riverside Medical Group is actively recruiting a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our esteemed team at Riverside Thoracic & Cardiovascular Specialists. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Virginia.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by approved boards.
  • Current DEA qualifications.
  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care.
  • Ability to document appropriately and communicate with appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Experience in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions.
  • Basic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TAVR, mitral valve repair/replacement, endovascular and minimally invasive techniques including robotics.
  • Expertise in thoracic aortic disease.

Responsibilities

  • Perform adult cardiac and general thoracic surgery, including pre- and post-operative care.
  • Conduct procedures such as ascending aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), and valve repair and replacement.
  • Manage thoracic surgeries including chest tube insertion, lung masses and nodules, lung cancer, and esophageal ruptures.
  • Collaborate with a team focused on CABG, aortic valve procedures, and thoracic surgery.
