About The Position

Dartmouth Health’s Department of Radiology is seeking a Cardiothoracic or Thoracic Radiologist to join our practice in the beautiful Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the system’s central clinical hub and Academic Medical Center, is located immediately adjacent to bustling college town of Hanover, NH. Hanover is home to the world-renowned Dartmouth College and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dartmouth Health Radiology is home to a world-class cardiothoracic imaging section focused on delivering efficient, productive, and cutting-edge clinical care; a robust and growing educational program for students, residents, and fellows; and scholarly activity focused on collaboration with others inside and outside the Department. Numerous opportunities for professional growth are available, including in clinical excellence and in numerous other areas, depending on the interest of the candidate. Faculty at Dartmouth Health serve as Assistant, Associate, or full Professors at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Faculty have access to the academic and cultural resources of the health system, the College, and the school.

Requirements

  • Diagnostic Radiology Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Fellowship-trained or relevant experience with a keen interest in musculoskeletal imaging.
  • Must obtain and maintain a medical license in both New Hampshire and Vermont.
  • Ability to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, depending on experience.

  • Experience or interest in having a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence and teaching skill.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the delivery of cutting-edge Cardiothoracic or Thoracic-only Imaging including chest CT, chest radiography, and some volume of chest MR.
  • Perform Cardiac MR and Coronary CTA for individuals with training and/or experience in cardiac imaging.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows as part of the educational offerings.
  • Engage in collaborative work with other Departments, including orthopedic surgery, through regular multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Participate in national societies and organizations to develop a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence.
