About The Position

The Cardiorenal Sales Specialist is a hybrid role focused on building and developing professional relationships with healthcare providers in the cardiology, nephrology, and endocrinology fields. This position is responsible for driving the utilization of approved cardiovascular products within an assigned territory, which includes Manhattan North, Hartford, CT, and parts of Massachusetts. The specialist will leverage their expertise to manage business opportunities, develop territory plans, and communicate insights to internal stakeholders while adhering to compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience is required.
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance in sales.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to foster ethical behavior and compliance with company policies.
  • Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements, including up-to-date vaccinations and trainings.
  • Valid Driver's License and eligibility to drive a company car.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience preferred.
  • Product launch experience is beneficial.
  • Two or more years' experience in promoting cardiovascular, diabetes, or nephrology pharmaceuticals.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
  • Virtual sales experience is a plus.
  • Strong local relationships with healthcare providers and understanding of the local market.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and develops professional relationships with healthcare providers including cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, and primary care.
  • Drives appropriate utilization of approved cardiovascular products.
  • Works closely with other Bayer commercial associates to generate pull-through within local payers and community healthcare providers.
  • Leverages expertise in diabetes, nephrology, and cardiovascular disease to manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Provides input to commercial colleagues regarding strategic and tactical planning for the territory.
  • Develops and implements effective customer-specific territory plans.
  • Communicates insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prioritizes time and effort for optimal coverage of physician specialists based on opportunity and potential.
  • Understands assigned customers' product and business needs and works to meet those needs while adhering to compliance standards.
  • Anticipates potential barriers to achievement of goals and proposes solutions for success.
  • Handles customer objections and exceeds customer expectations with the value provided to physicians.
  • May share exemplary skills with others in the region in a training capacity.
