Performs pulmonary function studies. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Prepares and calibrates PFT equipment. Collects test samples, performs initial test analysis and advises staff on findings. Performs tests according the American Thoracic Society Guidelines. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Assists in process billing, data entry/maintenance and lab equipment care/maintenance. Working Conditions: Job Location/Working Conditions Normal office environment Requires extensive safety training Exposure to blood-borne pathogens Exposure to chemicals Requires protective devices Patient care setting Direct patient care setting. Physical Effort Typically sitting at desk or table. Repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (PC Typing). Occasional lifting (25 lbs. or less). Equipment Office equipment.
