About The Position

Cardiac Device Technician/Specialist ● Primarily responsible for comprehensive interrogation and analysis of cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) including pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization devices (CRT-P/CRT-D) and loop recorders ● Interpret device diagnostics to review and identify arrhythmias, evaluate battery longevity, sensing/pacing abnormalities, lead anomalies, as well as determine between appropriate vs inappropriate therapies ● Perform device checks via in clinic regarding routine follow-ups, pre/post procedure interrogations, and reprogramming adjustments as necessary to ensure proper device function ● Manage remote monitoring via third party platform to monitor platforms such as Carelink (Medtronic), Merlin (Abbott), Latitude (Boston Scientific), and Biotronik home monitoring to assess device status and alert clinically significant events ● Educate patients on the importance of home monitoring compliance, transmitter usage, and troubleshoot monitoring malfunctions ● Appropriately document all interrogations and findings in the EMR with precise clinical summaries and accurate device parameters ● Collaborate with physicians and APPs to present precise data and device findings in order to help provide optimal patient care ● Preliminary interpretation for 24-48 hour Holter monitors to identify arrhythmias, heart rate variability, and prepare detailed findings for final Physician review.
