About The Position

The Cardiology Tech I position at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Heart Station involves rendering highly professional and technical expertise in performing non-invasive cardiac procedures to patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The role requires daily interaction with patients and their families, as well as collaboration with other healthcare professionals such as physicians and nurses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience with patient care preferred.
• CPR certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Recommend Certified Cardiographic Technician within two years of hire.
• Must be a Certified Cardiographic Technician to acquire promotion within the department.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Cardiographic Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Heart Station operational requirements and professional competence.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members in an effective positive and professional manner.
• Administers patient care as mandated by licensure, certification, or registration.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge of Heart Station event monitors, teletrace issues, and Holter monitors.
• Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient procedures are provided in accordance with Age-Specific Procedure Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
