About The Position
The Cardiology Procedure Technician I works within our monitor or pacemaker department. They are responsible for a variety of Cardiology tasks. Requirements
- Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies
Nice To Haves
- Experience - 1+ years of EKG/EEG/ECG Experience
- Education - Associates degree in Related Field
Responsibilities
- Applying a variety of cardiac monitors
- Provides technical instruction for patients and/or families regarding the device. (i.e. how the device functions, technical troubleshooting, holter monitor, event monitor, mobile cardiac telemetry and 24-hour blood pressure monitor.)
- Cleaning monitors
- Maintaining a log of monitors and / or recording monitor data in a database on SharePoint.
- Demonstrates the ability to generate diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
- Scan holter monitors.
- Assists with clerical duties in Cardiac Device Clinic.
- Schedules appointments within electronic medical record.
- Makes all attempts to meet the customer’s expectations.
- Completes department required training, (i.e. basic EKG course).
- Independently performs EKGs.
- Works collaboratively with all staff.
- All other duties as assigned.
