Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Cardiology Nurse to join our team at the Plaza location, specifically within the Cardio Wellness and Hypertension Clinic. This role involves providing essential patient education, managing patient discharge processes after office visits, writing necessary orders, and addressing patient inquiries regarding prescriptions and follow-up procedures. The successful candidate will also travel to outreach locations as assigned and help oversee patients referred to our hypertension clinic management program.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in both Kansas (KS) and Missouri (MO). Candidates with a single license may receive a contingent offer, requiring completion of dual licensure within 90 days of the start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Less than 1 year
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Registered Nurse - Various
  • Associate Degree

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process effectively to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Perform direct patient care tasks and delegate patient care activities when appropriate.
  • Supervise other assigned patient care staff.
  • Coordinate the comprehensive plan of care for an assigned group of patients, consulting with the interdisciplinary healthcare team as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate clinical proficiency and adhere strictly to all organizational policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Provide specialized patient education related to cardiovascular health and hypertension management.
