JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Cardiology (Non-Interventional) • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Lewisburg, PA • Service Setting: Hospital/Outpatient Clinic • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: May 11, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Day shifts 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM • On-Call Shift Schedule: Nights and weekends as scheduled • Call Type: Beeper • Call Ratio: Approximately 1–2 weeks per month plus one weekend • Callback Rate: Minimal (nights and weekends typically low) COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage; 1–2 weeks per month with weekend coverage PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 17–18 patients per day • Rounding: Included during weekend coverage • Case Mix: General cardiology including outpatient clinic, procedures, and inpatient consults FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 150 Hospital Beds • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard cardiology and diagnostic equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Interventional cardiology support • Support Staff Available: APP support available • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (with clean file) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not Specified REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Nuclear stress testing • Echocardiography and monitoring • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) • Cardioversions JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: PA license required or IMLC eligible • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology • DEA: Required • Certifications: Not Specified • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience • Other Qualifications: Nuclear and echocardiography board certification required; CT certification preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide outpatient and inpatient cardiology care • Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic procedures • Participate in call rotation including weekends • Collaborate with APPs and interventional cardiology team • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
Requirements
- PA license required or IMLC eligible
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
- DEA: Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Nuclear and echocardiography board certification required
Nice To Haves
- CT certification preferred
