About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Cardiology Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Cardiology Medical Assistant assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support responsibilities that require independent initiative and judgment. You will report to the Clinical Administrator. Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 2601 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV 89128 As a Cardiology Medical Assistant, you will perform clinical tasks such as: Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type Obtain and record medical history and vital signs Room patients and assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments Perform specimen collection and point of care testing Prepare and administer medication under the direction of healthcare provider Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (HER) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including documentation of HEDIS and Stars quality measures About CenterWell Senior Primary Care: CenterWell Senior Primary Care provides proactive, preventive care to seniors, including wellness visits, physical exams, chronic condition management, screenings, minor injury treatment and more. Requirements

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• 3+ years MA experience
• 1+ year of Cardiology experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• We consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB

Nice To Haves

• An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAH, AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, or NHA
• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• Value-based Care experience includes knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
