We house western North Carolina's only advanced cardiac care and transplant program. We were the first Chest Pain Center in the region to be accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, and we have disease-specific certification by The Joint Commission in acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and congestive heart failure. We have received the highest possible recognition for quality cardiac surgery from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. What You'll Do: As a Heart Failure Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will collaborate closely with our skilled attending cardiologists, alongside fellow cardiology APPs, and a compassionate team of dedicated cardiology nurses and staff. Focused primarily on Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant cases, this role offers an exciting avenue for participation in educational and scholarly activities, enriching our thriving academic clinical environment. The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
