About The Position

RN will facilitate and provide care to patients in our busy and fast paced, state-of-the-art cardiology clinic.

Requirements

• Computer skills including Epic, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams are preferred.
• Strong organizational and people skills are required.
• Successful applicants must have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of medical, financial, and staff related information.
• Able to perform multiple tasks at once in an organized manner.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• BSN Degree and valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in cardiology preferred.
• Experience in physician practice setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain basic vital signs (weight, BP, EKG, etc.)
• Triage patient phone calls.
• Start IV for Echos done within the clinic.
• Monitor lab results/report these to physicians.
• Review test results with patients as instructed by physicians.
• Manage prescription refills with patient/pharmacy/physician.
• Oversee patients' charts for appointment (make sure all records are in chart/referrals in chart/any test results in chart)/ Pre-load information into Epic.
• Make sure patients are appropriately scheduled according to guidelines.
• Maintains BLS & ACLS certification.
