About The Position

The leading cardiology group in the West Valley is expanding and looking to add valuable and skilled team members to our comprehensive and long-standing Practice. Cardiac Solutions provides a personalized, team-oriented approach to patient care by promoting wellness through education, innovation, and technology. We offer intensive educational opportunities for patients through our disease management clinics and employ a multidisciplinary approach. All team members play a vital role in providing our patients with tailored care and support services. Our focus helps to prevent the progression of heart disease and minimize hospital admissions for our patients. This position is responsible for triaging all incoming patient concerns as defined within department protocols and guidelines. This is role is in a call center environment and is a non-patient facing role.

Requirements

Must have critical thinking skills and be able to provide information and recommendations based on common knowledge.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
Knowledge of business office procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure.
Ability to work effectively with others.
Skill in keyboard typing and use of multi-line telephone system.
Minimum of one (1) year cardiac experience in a medical office or health care field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of centralized triage medical office or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or equivalent.
Excellent customer service skills.
Medical terminology required.
Detail oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with cardiac medications and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

Follows Triage Protocols, policies, and procedures to include answering and routing phone notes.
Processes and completes all daily items/tasks. (phone notes, voicemails, emails, flags, refills, ect.)
Sort and process all documents assigned to triage department.
Review all Rx renewals daily for any unmatched patients.
Creates and routes all cardiac and dental clearance request as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of position.
