About The Position
Atrium Health, the leading community-focused academic healthcare system serving North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, invites Advance Practice Providers to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds, and progressive visionaries together. Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, a part of Atrium Health, is looking for a full-time Nocturnist Cardiology Acute Care NP or PA to provide quality care to the patients we serve in the Greater Charlotte community at Carolinas Medical Center. The APP will be part of a team of specialized cardiology MDs and APPs. The APP will direct in-hospital care and perform medical acts both independently and in collaboration with on-call physicians. The nightshift APP will cover all cardiology specialty services- including General Cardiology, Electrophysiology (EP), Interventional/Structural Heart, and Heart Failure/VAD/Transplant- as well as the Cardiac ICU. The APP will triage and perform consults and admissions, collect, synthesize, and document data, order appropriate laboratory studies and diagnostic testing, and consult other services when appropriate. The APP should be competent in taking medical histories, assessing medical conditions of patients, interpreting findings, and formulating an assessment and plan independently. The APP should possess the ability to maintain quality assurance and quality control standards. The APP should be able to implement effective communication skills with both patients and colleagues that demonstrate a commitment to consistently providing an excellent patient experience for every patient.
