About The Position

Trinity Health Michigan Heart and Trinity Health IHA Medical Group have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a respected Cardiology practice located in Brighton, Michigan. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant maintains the continuum of care through the coordination and integration of all phases of patient care using physician orders, progress notes, care plans, critical pathways, managed care guidelines, best practice protocols, evidence-based care, and the utilization review processes. Crosses continuum of care starting with assessment and education, immediate post-procedure care and preparation for discharge and works closely with nursing staff including ICU, progressive and general care. The provider will provide health care services under the direction of a collaborating physician. Responsibilities for this opportunity include directing and coordinating a health care plan for the assigned patient population by performing physical examinations, conducting approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribing appropriate interventions and medications, and collaborating with consulting physicians and health care professionals. The schedule for this opportunity is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, 10-hour shifts.

Requirements

  • Master's degree as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP, ACNP only).
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • State of Michigan License.
  • Cardiology experience required.
  • Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.

  • Demonstrable experience working closely with physicians on the management of Cardiology patients.
