About The Position

The UofL Health Cardiology Academic medical group is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role emphasizes disease progression, maintenance, and evaluation, with a collaborative approach to patient management alongside faculty physicians and fellows.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience as an APRN or PA in cardiology is highly recommended.
• Experience in inpatient cardiology and cardiovascular nursing is preferred.
• Clinical proficiency and effective communication skills are essential.
• Ability to deliver compassionate and professional healthcare.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with interventional/structural cardiology and advanced imaging.
• Familiarity with heart failure, transplantation, and cardiac rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Diagnose, prescribe, and manage patients with varying levels of medical acuity.
• Perform hospital rounds and see patients during office hours.
• Collaborate with faculty physicians and fellows in patient care.
• Tailor practice styles and hours according to individual skill sets and comfort levels.
