About The Position
Cardiology - Acute Care Cardiology Unit - Hospitalist Opportunity We seek physician candidates for an - Acute Care Cardiology Unit (“ACCU”) Hospitalist. The ideal candidate is a board-eligible/board-certified pediatrician interested in cardiology. The hospitalist will collaborate with a team of advanced practice providers, fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students under the supervision of the general cardiology and heart failure faculty. Clinical responsibilities include primary coverage of patients on a twenty-nine-bed ACCU. Patients have a wide variety of cardiac diagnoses and complex management strategies, including management of pre-and post-operative cardiac patients, single ventricle physiology, heart and lung transplant, and ventricular assist devices. The position is full-time, with rotating shifts that combine weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications: Pediatric Staff Physician ll or Staff Physician l • Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent • Unrestricted licensed physician • Board-eligible/ Board-certified Pediatrician • Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division Candidates can have other interests as well. If interested, there is an opportunity to participate in research and quality improvement projects. Candidates are encouraged to submit their CVs and cover letters of interest for the position.
