About The Position

Southern California Heart Centers is seeking a General Cardiologist to provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiovascular care across both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings. The General Cardiologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions while collaborating closely with other teams to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care. Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
Eligible for California medical licensure
Unrestricted and active California Physician License
Current BLS, ACLS, CA DEA certification prior to start date

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care including preventive cardiology, risk-factor management, and chronic disease management.
Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies including: Echocardiography (TTE and TEE, if credentialed) Cardiac stress testing (exercise and pharmacologic) Holter monitors and ambulatory cardiac monitoring Nuclear imaging, if certified EKG interpretation
Provide inpatient cardiology consultations for hospitalized patients with a range of cardiovascular conditions including heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and hypertension.
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, as well as vascular and cardiac surgery teams, and other providers on patient care planning and treatment.
Work closely with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, care coordinators and other clinical support staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care delivery.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning to support quality outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Comply with clinical quality measures, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
