About The Position

Southern California Heart Centers is seeking a General Cardiologist to provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiovascular care across both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings. The General Cardiologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions while collaborating closely with other teams to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Eligible for California medical licensure
  • Unrestricted and active California Physician License
  • Current BLS, ACLS, CA DEA certification prior to start date

  • Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese and/or Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care including preventive cardiology, risk-factor management, and chronic disease management.
  • Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies including: Echocardiography (TTE and TEE, if credentialed) Cardiac stress testing (exercise and pharmacologic) Holter monitors and ambulatory cardiac monitoring Nuclear imaging, if certified EKG interpretation
  • Provide inpatient cardiology consultations for hospitalized patients with a range of cardiovascular conditions including heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and hypertension.
  • Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, as well as vascular and cardiac surgery teams, and other providers on patient care planning and treatment.
  • Work closely with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, care coordinators and other clinical support staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning to support quality outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Comply with clinical quality measures, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
