About The Position

As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers seek to hire a General Cardiologist to join our highly regarded Jackson Heart Institute. As South Florida's most comprehensive cardiology program, we provide care and support to patients and families at every step of the journey, from routine cardiology care to complex cardiac surgeries. Responsible for the planning, diagnostic development, management and evaluation of medical/services at the clinic/center of responsibility. Provides and maintains JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS outpatients. Cardiology clinic with average daily patient volume of 20-22 in the clinic. General cardiology patients. Primarily in office practice (aprox 3.5 days weekly) and (aprox 1 day weekly) in hospital. Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.
  • Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.
  • Valid Florida Medical License.
  • DEA and board certification or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease are required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.

Nice To Haves

  • Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
