About The Position

In collaboration with a Physician assumes total patient care for designated patients. Provides cardio-thoracic and vascular diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and preventative care under the supervision of a Physician or Surgeon. Plans, implements, coordinate and evaluate comprehensive care to ensure quality and continuity of care delivery.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Physician Assistant program
• 2 of the most recent 4 years' experience in cardio-thoracic and vascular procedures
• BLS
• Current licensure as Physician Assistant (PA) through the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners and Medical Licensure Commission
• Current Registration Agreement (RA) through the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners and Medical Licensure Commission

Nice To Haves

• Familiar with the pharmacological effects of vasoactive and cardiotonic drugs
