About The Position

The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), Cardiovascular Institute is recruiting a Full-Time, Cardio-Oncologist to join our team serving the Pittsburgh area. This is an opportunity to join one of the premier cardiac programs in the country providing superior care and access to a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team of specialists and innovative therapies, including many available only through clinical trials. AHN’s Cardio-Oncology program has grown over the last 10 years serving patients across the network and recently achieved the ICOS- Gold Certification. Highlights: Lead the strategic expansion of our comprehensive Cardio-Oncology program Foster collaborative relationships between Cardio-Oncology, Oncology, and Non-Invasive Imaging specialists. Enhance seamless, multidisciplinary patient care pathways and innovative diagnostic approaches. Provide expert consultation and direct patient care to individuals facing cardiovascular complications of cancer therapy, as well as those with pre-existing cardiac conditions undergoing cancer treatment. Hold academic appointment at Drexel University College of Medicine Lead and participate in clinical and population health research and clinical trials.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – eager to build bridges between differing specialties
  • Demonstrated interest or fellowship training in Cardio-Oncology
  • American Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment

Responsibilities
