About The Position

The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), Cardiovascular Institute is recruiting a Full-Time, Cardio-OB Cardiologist to join our team serving the Pittsburgh area. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking program dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care for women throughout their reproductive journey, from preconception through pregnancy and postpartum. Play a pivotal role in working within a fully integrated delivery network, which facilitates streamlined communication, coordinated care, and access to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources. Highlights: Expand our dedicated Cardio-Obstetrics program. Provide expert cardiovascular evaluation and management for high-risk pregnant and postpartum patients with pre-existing heart conditions or those who develop cardiovascular complications during pregnancy. Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists to develop individualized care plans. Contribute to the development of protocols and pathways for the identification, risk stratification, and management of cardiovascular disease in pregnant women. Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives focused on advancing the understanding and treatment of cardiovascular conditions in pregnancy. Participate in the education and mentorship of residents and fellows.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest or fellowship training in Cardio-OB, Women’s Cardiovascular Health or Advanced Heart Failure
  • American Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment

Responsibilities
