About The Position
Detects defects or irregularities using ultrasound equipment. Positions patients and explains procedures. Performs quality control functions. Evaluates ultrasounds for diagnostic quality. Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques. Develops ultrasound film and matches it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation. Assists in maintenance and compilation of statistical data. Provides orientation to new cardiac ultrasound technologists. Provides education and training to cardiac ultrasound technology students. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Requirements
- Associate degree in relevant field
- ARDMS credentialing body RDCS license or CCI credentialing body RCS license
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
- Commitment to the University’s core values.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
