Requirements

• Associate Required
• Some relevant Work Experience [Required]
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Required] OR
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] AND
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) [Required] OR
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with department protocols.
• Assists physicians with interventional procedures such as transesophageal and stress echocardiograms.
• Ensures knowledge and execution of all applicable departmental processes.
• Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures.
• Performs routine and complex studies, in addition to assisting with a variety of imaging procedures.
• Consistently obtains the highest quality scans possible in relation to patient body habitus.
• Adapts procedure to each patient's medical situation obtaining all available necessary information for proper interpretation.
• Enters testing conditions, observations, test results, and patient demographic information into patient records.
• Communicates abnormal findings to the reading physicians and notifies the physicians of procedures to be interpreted.
