About The Position

The Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Cardiac Thoracic Vascular Surgery Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in Concord, NC. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures during the night shift. The APP will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and will be responsible for managing patient care in the surgical unit, performing assessments, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina.
• Experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Previous experience in a nocturnist role.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures during the night shift.
• Conduct patient assessments and manage care in the surgical unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
