About The Position

Join a high-acuity Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive Care team at a large Gulf Coast hospital with trauma, cardiac, and specialty programs. Unit details: patient ratio 6:1 , mixed cardiac med-surg population, strong preceptor support, and clear pathways for advancing your telemetry/PCU skillset.

Requirements

• Active Florida RN (or compact; obtain active FL within 60 days if compact).
• 1+ year RN experience ( acute care required ).
• Previous cardiac experience required.
• AHA BLS at start; ACLS within 6 months .
• ASN/ADN or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred).
• Ability to meet the physical demands of frequent standing, bending, and safe patient/equipment handling (up to ~50 lbs).
• Strong customer service, critical thinking, decisive judgment, and PC/EMR skills.

• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused cardiac assessments and continuous telemetry monitoring ; recognize/escalate rhythm changes quickly.
• Administer meds safely (diuretics, antiarrhythmics, anticoagulation, cardio-protective therapies); document responses and adverse events.
• Coordinate diagnostics/consults; partner on throughput, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction .
• Educate patients/families on HF zones, rhythm management, anticoagulation safety, and follow-up care.
• Maintain safety bundles (falls, infection prevention), core measures, and crisp SBAR handoffs.
