About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide critical care in our Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit. This role requires clinical expertise, autonomy, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience
- Current Florida RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months
- NIHSS Stroke Certification required within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- ICU experience preferred but not mandatory
- CCRN certification preferred (must be obtained within 2 years)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-intensity care for cardiac surgery patients
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments
- Manage patient treatments independently
- Advocate for patients and their families
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Educate patients and families about medications and treatments
- Demonstrate dedication to continuous professional improvement
