The University of Virginia Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery invites applications for a full-time, open-rank clinical cardiac faculty position. Academic rank and track (tenure or non-tenure) will be determined based on qualifications and experience. We are seeking a technically skilled and academically engaged surgeon to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary heart team. The ideal candidate will be competent in a broad array of advanced cardiac operations, including complex coronary revascularization, structural valve interventions, aortic surgery, cardiac transplantation and MCS. Expertise in robotic or other minimally invasive approaches would be especially favorable. The University of Virginia Health System is a major regional and national referral center with a strong tradition of cross-disciplinary collaboration. Several system-wide growth initiatives are underway, including expansion of cardiovascular services, investment in surgical innovation and strategic faculty recruitment. UVA is an excellent clinical, research and teaching environment at one of the top universities in the country. It is located in beautiful Charlottesville with easy access to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the eastern shore and the nation's Capital.
