About The Position

Join our dynamic Cardiovascular Diagnostics Team at Missouri Baptist Medical Center where everyone has a role in providing extraordinary care! The Cardiac Sonographer performs a variety of cardiac testing, including treadmill stress testing, holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echo, stress echo and cardiac doppler. Missouri Baptist Medical Center is an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offering a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The Cardiac Testing department is a diagnostic testing center which focuses on identifying and evaluating cardiac disease processes. The department is comprised of RNs, cardiac sonographers, ECG techs, Nuclear Medicine technologists and administrative staff. The Cardiac Testing staff works in collaboration with Cardiologists to deliver high quality services to patients and their physicians.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Supervisor Experience
• RDCS or equiv

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree - Allied Health/Sonography
• <2 years
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Responsibilities

• Performs tests and procedures at various locations.
• Maintains accurate patient logs.
• Updates daily charges in the computer, utilizes cardiac lab menus in the computer.
• Maintains cardiac lab patient files.
