About The Position
Work Schedule This is a casual / PRN position, Monday through Sunday to cover call, PTO and call ins
Requirements
- Associate's degree in an accredited program in ultrasonography/echocardiography or on the job training/clinicals with appropriate educational background
- Registered or registry eligible ARDMS (RDCS), or CCI (RCS) required
- Registry or registry eligible in specialty fields of Cardiography
Responsibilities
- Perform high quality echocardiography exams according to training and competency levels
- Prepare testing procedures for interpretation within the established time frame.
- Document measurements and findings on the technician worksheet, presenting OP written orders, documenting appropriate information
- Maintain equipment by cleaning and stocking machines daily and alerting appropriate personal of needed repairs and supplies
- Accurately enter patient demographics and information, utilizing the modality work list on the Echo machines and/or manually entering data in the PACS/Echo workstation
- Exhibit patience and empathy in working with patients, explain procedures to put patient at ease, recognize and meet patient needs, aid the patient into position through proper communication
