About The Position

The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound examinations, utilizing comprehensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy and disease states. The role involves explaining procedures to patients, observing their conditions, and producing reliable diagnostic recordings. The position requires skillful use of echo modalities and the ability to quantify observed abnormalities, ensuring high-quality patient care in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (flexibility may be considered).
• Certification as ADRMS, RDCS, or CCI.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations and quantify observed abnormalities.
• Explain routine and non-routine procedures to patients to alleviate fear and anxiety.
• Observe patients' conditions and document pertinent information and vital signs.
• Recognize serious patient abnormalities and tailor recordings to individual needs.
• Measure pulmonary artery pressures, valve areas, cardiac output, and other cardiac assessments.
