About The Position

Performs comprehensive, diagnostic echocardiogram imaging using ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of the heart structures to detail the unique cardiac anatomy in pediatric, fetal, and adult congenital. Clinical and technical expert skill in the field who demonstrates increasing level of excellence through clinical practice, teaching/mentoring abilities. Will be assigned the role of the following: lead echocardiographer, technical director (IAC) and/or education resource/quality coordinator. Mentor other technologists. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Graduate of a 2 year Allied Health Training Program, Ultrasound Technology or Bachelors program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) or graduate of an accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred.
  • 10 or more years experience inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound.
  • ARDMS-RDCS (AE), (PE) OR CCI (RCCS) credential. or Must pass registry exam for ARDMS PE or CCI RCCS within 18 months of hire.
  • New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT) required
  • Current BLS required
