About The Position

Position Summary Performs professional, technical and administrative duties of cardiac ultrasound procedures using specialized ultrasound equipment at intermediate level. Functions as preceptor and resource to students, new Cardiac Sonographer, and Cardiac Sonographer Level I. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program required. Current and valid ARDMS/CCI registry in Adult Echocardiography required. Maintains current and valid CPR certificate Experience Individual hired as recent graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program will have two years of competent performance as a Cardiac Sonographer I at TVH, plus the details listed under the competencies section. Skills Combines critical thinking and analytical skill to solve multi-tiered problems. Demonstrates effective oral, written and interactive skills. Detail orientated. Cooperative team player. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program required.
