About The Position

Under the direction of a Cardiologist, the Cardiac Sonographer - MCH role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and/or may be assigned duties as preceptor in areas of specific competence. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience as a registered Cardiac Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required .
  • Eligible for registration in Cardiac Sonography through the ARDMS or CCI within 6 months of hire.
  • Full registration is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clinical experience preferred.
